Low Back Pain
Advice on what to do when you first hurt your back has always been contentious, so let’s make it simple;
1) Rest - there is no problem doing this for a couple of days but after that it is important that you keep moving so that secondary problems do not occur. Whilst you are in bed you can try to gently rocking you knees from side to side to loosen your back slightly. 2) Contact your GP – it is likely that your doctor will prescribe something that will help the muscles relax and give you pain relief. 3) See a physiotherapist – getting to see a Physio in the first couple of days can significantly speed up your recovery. This is the reason we try and keep emergency appointments available most days. |
Why not give us a call today. If we can we’ll tell you everything you need to know over the phone but if the problem is a little more complicated or needs some hands on attention we can book you in.
